Jack Lawson Morgan, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Born September 2, 1925 in Des Moines, IA to Edythe and Earnest Morgan. They proceeded him in death, as did his sister, Mary Catherine, and his grandmother, Mary Ann Lawson.

He graduated from East High School and Drake University of Des Moines, IA. In World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Infantry both in Europe and the Philippines. He was an Actuary in New York City, NY, Cincinnati, OH, and retired as Chief Actuary and Vice President of Farm Bureau Insurance of Indianapolis. He was a Fifty Year Member of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis where he served as Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer. He was active in Boy and Cub Scouting for over Fifty years. He enjoyed golf, playing bridge, woodworking, and reading.

He leaves his wife of over 65 years, Corrine Morgan, son Jack Morgan, his Companion Darrell Walton, Daughter, Peggy Russell (Charles), Grandson Michael Ritchie (Renee), Granddaughter Michelle Ritchie, and Great Grandson, Zachary Ritchie.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Indianapolis, 8600 College Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46240, Sunday, March 10 from 2 PM to 5 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church at 10 AM on March 11. Inurnment will be at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens of Fishers, IN. Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, 8147 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250, is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Indianapolis or the Boy Scouts of America.
